For the start of Lent, we began our fundraising initiative to help schools around the world offering the gift of education to those less fortunate. The Year 5 children ran stalls where they sold Arts & Crafts, to raise money for the charity HelpmelearnAfrica in Ghana and for Loreto Schools in Peru and South Sudan. During Lunchtime, the children were invited to come along to take part and donate. Stalls included; a raffle, a drawing competition, selling paper bangers and slinkys. Both classes did extremely well, especially given the unforeseen rain, and managed to raise over £200. We shall continue this initiative during Lent with Year 7 next week, who shall be organising fun races to take part in. This is a magnificent start to our fundraising efforts and we look forward to next week’s event.

Well Done to both Year 5 classes and thank you all for participating.
