Jeans for Jeans day
September 20, 2019
Dear Parents,
Loreto Convent School will be taking part in this year’s ‘Jeans for Genes’ Day on Friday 20th September.
‘Jeans for Genes’ is the national charity raising money for children with genetic disorders, to help fund the care and support they need, and carry out research that could change their futures.
In the UK, one baby in every 25 is born with a genetic disorder. Although individually these disorders can be extremely rare, together they are the biggest killer of children aged 14 and under.
Pupils and staff are therefore encouraged to wear jeans on Friday 20th September in return for a £1.00 donation to Jeans for Genes. We would like everyone in the school to take part, so please send your child to school on the day wearing jeans and the school polo shirt or PE t-shirt.
Please remember your £1 donation.
If you’d like to know more about Jeans for Genes, and how our support will help, the charity’s website is www.jeansforgenes.com.
Yours sincerely
Mrs. McNeice
