On Tuesday 24th May the Music Department held a workshop for years 5,6 and 7. This was led by Mr Douglas Coombes MBE and his wife Carole Lindsay. Starting off the session, our guests grasped the children’s attention and continued to inspire throughout the whole workshop with plenty of interaction. The children played a range of instruments, followed the instructions and conducting from Douglas. They also had the opportunity to sing, creating a spooky mood whilst Douglas played the piano. Carole also brought a range of new ideas, encouraging children to read and compose music using graphics. Overall this was a very successful and inspiring morning.
