This week Pupils in our Nursery classes have been using a SMART Table to embrace ICT. With the support of the Nursery teachers and assistants the pupils have been using this interactive technology to aid their physical development whilst enhancing the teaching and learning provision for all. The table has been kindly lent to the school by Mark Pocock from Icon Business Systems Ltd.
The SMART table range is part of the ‘next generation’ of interactive methods used in classrooms and this trial phase will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of using such a device. With three state of the art nursery classrooms being constructed we believe this is a great opportunity to embrace the new teaching and learning styles for all abilities and place Loreto Convent School at the leading edge of such development.
