On Friday 9th March, local history was taught to the year 5 pupils, on the Geography field trip as part of the Geography Topic “Contrasting Localities. The children visited areas around Gibraltar including John Mackintosh Square, Parliament House where they sat in Parliament to hear about the history from the current speaker. Next was Convent Place, where they had a tour around the Convent and then No 6, where the children learnt about the history and had an tour of the building. This included a sneak peak at the ‘Bunker’, Press Room and a surprise visit as The Honourable Fabian Picardo, MP spoke to the children in the Cabinet Room, which use to be the old Loreto Chapel!
